you are dealing with recurrent pinworm infection. For a standard pinworm infection, Albendazole 400 mg is typically taken as a single dose and repeated once after 2 weeks as a single dose every 14 days. Taking it weekly for two weeks may not be following the recommended cycle, as the second dose is specifically timed to kill newly hatched worms from eggs that the first dose cannot destroy. Treat all members of your house at the same time, even if they have no symptoms. This prevents reinfection where one person gives it back to another.
Next Steps
wash the anal area every morning immediately upon waking to remove eggs laid overnight.Wash all bedding, towels, and underwear in hot water on the first day of treatment and regularly thereafter. Scrub under fingernails and wash hands thoroughly before every meal and after every bathroom visit
Health Tips
Since you mentioned recurrent morning stool urges and a lack of improvement after two weeks of Albendazole, you should schedule a followup with your doctor.
