Wisdom tooth RCT
I had undergone root canal treatment of my lower right wisdom tooth 3 weeks ago due to caries. As I have history of erosive gastritis and cannot take NSAIDS for post operative pain, my dentist had advised the rct instead of extraction. The RCT went well and I was totally fine , although my dentist told me that crowning is not possible in wisdom tooth as height is very low, so only permanent filling will do the needful. Attached is the xrat of tooth after rct. Since two days I am having mild/nagging pain in that tooth, please advise what can i do now, i cannot go extraction since i cannot take nsaids. Or is it possible to manage the post extraction pain without nsaids(plain paracetamol has not helped during my tooth pain previously).

I think everything is fine. Just use mouth wash for 1 week and then check for symptoms. Extraction is possible without NSAIDS . If you didn't find relief and pain increases, then go for extraction.

Request for a consult from an experienced endodontist, he may be able to retreat the root canal and help relieve you of the pain. However, if all else fails, extraction may be your only option.

If the pain increases you have to extraction only. Get it done from MDS oral and maxillo facial surgeon for painless experience.
