Why oxygen saturation flactuate?
My mother was suffering from lungs infection and admitted to hospital. She had severe breathing problem and had to take oxygen bypaap for 15 days. She is stable now and released from hospital. After coming home she is now in oxygen support.I attached pulse oximeter in her finger. Most of the time isit shows normal oxygen level. But when was tempted it shows bellow 70%. At that moment when I attached oxygen supply it goes 90-98% .Why this ?

It will take time to recover completely, maybe about a month or maybe more. Consult immediately if the drop in saturation stays for more than 10min, or if it is associated with breathlessness
