Why it irritated and pain post RCT?
When doctor puts cotton to cover teeth hole to prevent it from infection why it irritates and pain sometimes. I feel better when hole is not closed.

The teeth should be covered with cotton and a temporary cement to completely avoid any influx of food and bacterial entry into the root canals. There could also be residual non living tissues in root canal that are also causing irritation. The root canal is not yet completed. Pls finish your treatment as soon as possible. Leaving the tooth open is not recommmended anymore in the field of endodontist
