Hello, Your previous biopsy showed oral fibro-epithelial polyp, which is a benign (non-cancerous) reactive lesion. It commonly occurs due to chronic irritation, trauma, friction, or post-surgical changes and does not turn into cancer. Now, after one year: You are noticing a white patch at the same site No pain, no lump, no growth, no bleeding The color becomes lighter with Kenacort and reappears after stopping This appearance is most likely due to post-surgical scar tissue / mucosal keratosis / frictional leukoplakia, especially at a previously operated site. Steroid gel improving the color further supports an inflammatory or reactive cause, not malignancy. Continue topical Kenacort only if prescribed, for short course Maintain good oral hygiene Avoid sharp teeth, dentures, tobacco, smoking, gutkha, alcohol Ensure there is no constant trauma at that site Regular follow-up with an oral surgeon or ENT every 3–6 months is sufficient for observation.
