Whether to discontinue aspirin
I had undergone PTCA in july 2016.Post PTCA cardiologist prescribed Deplatt CV 10, Monit GTN6.4 and BP medicine as AMLODAC 5/50. For diabetes, ZITA PLUS 20, 1 week back i got admitted in local hospital with nausea, bitter taste in mouth. Doctor dignosed it as Acute gastritis and advised to discontinue Aspirin and continue with clopidogrel only. My blood test reveals that platelet count is 1,10,000. Kindly advise whether it is safe to discontinue Aspirin 75 or go for lower dose of aspirinsay 50 or 25 for a cardiac patient like me.

Where did you find aspirin 25mg / 50mg .. not to worry you can be on clopedogrel .. that takes care of your stent .. keep your sugars , BP , cholesterol under control and regular exercise and good diet is all you need ..
