It is expected that your weight loss will improve, though your appetite might be suppressed initially because of chemotherapy after maybe 1-2 cycles weight should start increasing.

There is no reason for not to gain weight during treatment
But because of chemo some people will have reduced appetite and food intake will be less... So there can be some minimal weight loss during treatment as well
Having said that post chemo usually people will gain weight
