I had delivered my baby at 38 weeks 2 days after inducing. Birth weight was 2.875kg. At 37 weeks scan my doctor said to come and admit after 3 days without saying reason on why early. In the discharge summary they mentioned saying "induced due to SGA", whats it and why they had induced because of it? Can anyone explain?

Your baby's weight being 2.875 kg doesn't fit into the diagnosis of Small for Gestational age. But at times sonography report gives a baby weight which shows that it is SGA. Hence the induction.
All is well that ends well.
SGA is small for gestational age. In such cases baby is constitutionally small but no growth restriction. But ur baby weight is good at 37 weeks. Pls check with ur gynecologist for the reason
