What are Heart problems for diabetics
Hello doctors
My brother has been a Type 1 diabetic for the past 10 years since 2013. He injects insulin daily. Apidra (16-16-16) and Toujeo (44). His Sugar levels are fluctuating, sometimes under control and sometimes not.
(Her hba1c level is 12% which is more than normal by around 4% . ). He is worried about the recent heart attacks in Indians, youngsters especially.
1. What care should a diabetic take regarding the heart ?
2. What are all the tests to be performed to make sure the heart is healthy?
