Weird virus. Guess at what i've caught?

Hello doc! So I have a question. Last night I came home from work, sat down and watched TV. This is at 11:00 pm. By 11:45 my nose became noticeable congested and stuffed up. It was manageable but still a pain. 12:20 rolled by and it hurt to swallow water. Pretty bad too, but manageable. By 1:15 my nose was completely stuffed, no air could pass through it. By 2 my throat was so swollen I couldn't even drink water, unless I had it almost near freezing. My question is, could you give a guess at what I've caught? My doctor said it wasn't strep, I'm going back in a week if it's not better. However the symptoms are now almost absolutely gone, except for an incredibly tight chest and aching bones. I've never had a virus come over me so violently and rapidly before. I'm just curious if you have an idea of what it was. Sorry this is so long!
