I got diagnosed with H Pylori gastritis 6 months before, and I wasn't able to eat well before that too because of which I went to the doctor. Eating portions almost reduced to half meals. Burping, loss of appetite, pain & heat (at times ). I have been on medications and course of antibiotics was completed and now only Lupivon 10 days and night. But weight loss is still there, I still only eat soft and easy to digest items, lightweight ones. Weight is still reducing.
Do I need to change the doctor?

If 6 months after completing H. pylori treatment you still have poor appetite, burping, heat/pain in stomach, and ongoing weight loss, then yes — you should see a gastroenterologist again (or change the doctor). This is not normal after proper treatment.
Why?
Persistent symptoms can mean:
H. pylori not fully cleared → needs re-testing (stool antigen or urea breath test).
Gastritis still active or slow healing.
Acid reflux + functional dyspepsia.
Nutrient deficiencies (B12, iron) causing low appetite + weight loss.
Other stomach issues (ulcer, gallbladder, pancreas) — rare but must be ruled out.
What you should do next
Repeat H. pylori test (stool antigen preferred).
Get CBC, LFT, TSH, B12, Vitamin D.
Consider upper endoscopy (if not done recently).
Continue acid-reducer (like Pantoprazole) before breakfast, but long-term only under doctor guidance.
