Newborn babies can poop every-time after having Breast feeding… see if baby only getting formilk or reaching to hindmilk as well…
Foremilk is milk that comes when baby start sucking. It satisfies baby’s thirst. It is watery and contains less proteins. Hind milk is milk that comes at the end of sucking, rich in protein and fat and satisfies baby’s hunger. If baby only get foremilk due to short duration of feeding and not reaching upto end of sucking from one breast, it can lead to frequent and green stools.
Next Steps
Try to completely empty one breast and then other. Do not worry for frequent stools.
