Watery n sticky eye

Asked for Female, 25 Years

My baby boy born on 27feb 2017 he has watery n sticky eye( right eye only) Dr gave AC eye drops we used that but no use again from 2days he told us to massage it will decrease in 3months otherwise operation needed.we are very much tensed about operation.how many months we have to massage pls help my baby will complete 3months by this 20th.

Only watering in one eye can be due to block of Nasolacrimal duct. So the basic treatment for that is massage of the area between eye and the nose. Usually it will resolve as baby gets bigger. So don't worry. Rarely if not resolving may require surgery. So massage and wait for some months. Hope this helps you.
