I am very sorry for your loss. This kind of second-trimester loss is devastating, and it is not due to anything you or your wife did. From your description, this looks like a sudden cervical opening with cord prolapse, which can happen unexpectedly even when all scans and reports are normal. A cervical length of 3.15 cm is normal, so stitching was not indicated earlier. For the future: One frozen embryo still gives a good chance Next pregnancy can be managed with early close monitoring ± preventive cervical stitch Many couples have successful pregnancies after this Please take time to heal. When ready, discuss a clear preventive plan with your doctor. There is still hope ahead.
