I have PCO so my period is usually irregular. I had unprotected sex a day before I received my period. It was shorter than usual, lasted for 3-4 days. ASAP my period was over frequent urination started and all other pregnancy symptoms are there. It's been 11 days since we had sex. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? If, then when should I take a test to be sure that I am not pregnant.

Hi,
It is very unlikely that you are pregnant if your periods started a day after sex.Frequent urination could also mean a urine infection, which is more common after sex,as are vomiting and pelvic pain.A pregnancy test may be advisable ,but you should do it about ideally about a week after missed periods or at least 20-25 days after sex if you strongly feel that you could be pregnant.I would highly recommend using a condom along with contraceptive pills in the future if not looking for a pregnancy.Do get a urine test to look for infection and visit a Gynecologist for both the UTI and contraceptive advice,as well as to know about lifestyle modifications in PCO.Take Care.
