Vomit and indigestion after eating out
I went out for dinner on Sunday and after coming back home, started feeling very uneasy and vomited twice in the night. Whatever I had consumed came out in the vomit and it was painful. My throat has become sore because of the force with which it came out and I'm still unable to speak with my normal voice. I also developed small 3-4 red spots in my left eye due to the pressure of vomit (they are not as prominent now but the redness in the eye is still there). No vomits happened yesterday or today, however I'm concerned that if i don't take any medication, i might have an untreated stomach infection. Kindly advise if I need to take any medicines. Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Likely food related gastritis good that vomiting stopped. Throat pain & eye redness are from strain and will settle. Hydration , light diet and short antacid course is enough. If not improving, I can guide you further feel free to consult.

An episode of forceful vomiting following dinner is a classic presentation of Food Poisoning (Acute Gastritis). While the vomiting has stopped, the physical strain of the retching has caused secondary issues: Sub-conjunctival Hemorrhages (the red spots in your eye) and potential Laryngeal Irritation (sore throat and loss of voice). Both are common results of high intra-thoracic pressure during vomiting and usually resolve with conservative management."
Next Steps
Voice Rest: Avoid shouting or whispering (which strains the cords more than normal talking). Drink plenty of lukewarm water to keep the throat hydrated. Gut Rehabilitation: Stick to the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) for another 24 hours. Start taking a Probiotic sachet daily for 5 days to restore the healthy bacteria in your stomach. Eye Care: No specific medication is needed for the eye spots; they will change color (like a bruise) and disappear in 7–10 days. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Acid Neutralization: If you still feel uneasy, a mild antacid or a PPI (like Sompraz 20mg) for 3 days can help neutralize any remaining stomach acid irritation.
Health Tips
the worst is over, but your body needs time to heal from the physical 'shock' of the vomiting. Book a consultation if your voice stays hoarse for more than a week so we can ensure your vocal cords are healing correctly and your gut is fully cleared of infection."

Your symptoms are likely due to acute gastritis/food-related infection with throat strain from vomiting. Since symptoms are persisting, it’s better to get proper evaluation and treatment. Please book a video consultation with me for detailed assessment and prescription.
