Vitamin D deficiency
I did a vitamin d test 8 months ago which came to 19.6, can doctor prescribe me medicine based on it ? Or new test to be done ? I have a lot of hairfall lately and teeth grinding and jaw pain as a sign.

A vitamin D level of 19.6 suggests deficiency, but since the report is 8 months old and you now have symptoms like hair fall and jaw pain, a fresh evaluation can help decide the correct treatment and dosage safely 👍 a detailed consultation can guide the right tests, supplements and recovery plan comfortably 🌸

A Vitamin D level of 19.6 from 8 months ago is outdated and cannot be used for a current prescription. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin whose levels fluctuate significantly over time. Your current symptoms, such as significant hairfall and jaw pain/teeth grinding (Bruxism), are often clinical indicators of active Vitamin D and Calcium deficiencies. We need a fresh assessment to determine the correct dosage for 'Loading' and 'Maintenance'."
Next Steps
Sunlight: "Try to get 15-20 minutes of morning sunlight (between 6 AM and 8 AM) to help natural Vitamin D synthesis." Dietary Calcium: "Include dairy products, ragi, or fortified cereals in your diet to support your bone and jaw health." Caution: "Do not start high-dose Vitamin D (like 60K IU) without a doctor's supervision, as toxicity (hypercalcemia) can cause kidney stones and other complications."
Health Tips
8-month-old reports are not safe for current medication—let's get a fresh test and start a proper plan. Feel free to book a full session once your reports are ready
