herpes keratitis needs long-term treatment with topical and oral anti-virals. I would advise not to taper them until it is completely resolved and tapering has to be gradual. Please follow the instruction of your of nearby ophthalmolgist

Boost up your immunity. Viral keratitis needs medication for long duration. And there is recurrence also. The virus remains dormant when the keratitis heals. It again attacks when immunity is low. Please consult and follow your doctor.
