Viral Infection
I am suffering from Viral Infection due to winter. I have a dry cough and fever. My course of antibiotics was completed but the infection has not gone. I have tested CRP and it is 78.70 and I have a fever. Shall I continue the same antibiotic for 2 days more or not?

You need not continue the same antibiotic. You can drink hot water, take steam , rest for symptomatic relief.

You still have an active infection in your body . Do additional blood test cbc crp dengue rmat and blood culture. upgrade an antibiotic is also an optn with appropriate blood test

Get an Xray and CBC done. If you have yellow coloured sputum in cough, also get Sputum Culture Sensitivity test done. Better to consult. Need a change of medication.

Continue antibiotics Add Zerodol sp3 times a day after food for 3to5 days.  Montek lc one at night after dinner for 3to5 days.

CRP IS STILL high . It means you have to work up more . Get HRCT CHEST done .. CBP. also .. you might be having viral pneumonia! Blood sugars also
