Most likely it's Drug-induced thrombocytopenia
✓Your mother is on multiple long-term drugs:
Letrozole,Zoledronic acid
,Magvastin (statin)
Statins, bisphosphonates, and even cancer-related hormonal therapy can suppress bone marrow or cause immune platelet destruction.
✓Repeat CBC with peripheral smear from a good clinical lab ,to Confirm true platelet count, rule out lab error.
✓Vitamin B12 & Folate level needs to be checked
Deficiency causes isolated low platelets.

Get the following done*** (only if haven’t already done them)***
1. Blood tests: B12, Folic acid, INR, Liver Function tests
2. Scan: Ultrasound abdomen to check for fluid in abdomen and size of spleen
3. Find out from your Breast cancer doctor if there was any evidence of cancer spread to the bones ( you mentioned is having six monthly Zolendronate)
If the low counts are to do with NAFLD then please see a Gastroenterologist with the above results.
If the low counts are to do with cancer, then the breast cancer doctors will continue to monitor.
In the mean time monitor for any signs of bleeding.
All the best.
