Vaginal swab culture
Hi doctors am 31+4 weeks high risk pregnancy due to short cervix & gestational diabetes I was facing severe itching in vagina though no other symptoms so asked doctor for vaginal swab culture she collected & sent it to culture & sensitivity Report came back as normal vaginal flora ! My doubt is at 12 weeks when they placed stitch for cervix they collected vagina swab and it showed E. coli etc in 3rd month , So I was assuming something like that would be seen as i was having itching My doubt is will vaginal swab culture & sensitivity show up any bad bacteria like ecoli , kleibsella if at all present in vagina or it checks only for BV ? Attaching pic for reference Thanks in advance

It will identify any of the bacteria present in the vaginal area.If it's positive then the antibiotics for which it is sensitive is found out and then the treatment is given accordingly
