Vaginal itching

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I have been having an unusual itching in my vagina since an year.. on and off. It has become kind of regular in the past few months.. a doctor suggested me to take safkit and apply surfaz-sn on the affected area till it reduces. Though i get relief from itching after i apply the ointment for maximum 2 days. It returns again. I'm scared. Please help. What do you think it is? Also, the previous doctor suggested i need to take a diabetes test which I could not.

Diabetes test is a routine protocol for conditions like yours as sometimes undetected diabetes can be a cause of recurring vaginal itching. Do a fasting and 2 hour post meal blood sugar test. Also, ensure that you have visited a gynecologist for the issue and have been examined for the same.
