Vaginal infection

A few months back I developed a itching sensation around the entrance of my vagina and this then turned into yellow discharge with itchiness and slight fishy odor. This occurred 2-3 weeks after having sex (partner at the time did not have any infection or STD). 3-4 months have passed and there is still yellow discharge and it only itches or gets worse close to when my period begins and then few days after my period. What could this be? I've had sex during this time and it felt perfectly normal.

U need to get a Vaginal swab and culture done to clear doubts on any yeast or bacterial infection ,also get STD testing done to rule out for any sexually transmitted infections.
