Vaccine (TT/DT2ND Dose)
Hi good afternoon Dr..this is Gita...Dr my son was born on 2009. He hasn't taken the vaccine which he has to take by 10years old(TT/DT 2nd dose)( this is the vaccine name mentioned in the vaccine card from hospital). Due to this covid can I postpond for another 2 months to give the vaccine. Or should I give him the vaccine immediately. Need ur advice please

Do give it now without delay please . 10 ye old is big enough to go with well fitting mask so no risk at all . The risk from Dilhtheria & Tetanus is far more serious please

It's advisable to give it soon as feasible  for you as it's due at 10 year

This is the booster dose of dpt . You should go for this as catch up vaccination if you don't want to take him to hospital.

Hello. It’s important to take the booster dose. Last year there was rampant spread of diphtheria in the community and a lot of Tdap immunisations were being giving. If that was given for your son, then it’s covered. If not, fix up an appointment with a Pediatrician and get it done. It is not an emergency but definitely is better to be given.
