Hi good afternoon Dr..this is Gita...Dr my son was born on 2009. He hasn't taken the vaccine which he has to take by 10years old(TT/DT 2nd dose)( this is the vaccine name mentioned in the vaccine card from hospital). Due to this covid can I postpond for another 2 months to give the vaccine. Or should I give him the vaccine immediately. Need ur advice please

Do give it now without delay please . 10 ye old is big enough to go with well fitting mask so no risk at all . The risk from Dilhtheria & Tetanus is far more serious please

Hello. It’s important to take the booster dose.
Last year there was rampant spread of diphtheria in the community and a lot of Tdap immunisations were being giving. If that was given for your son, then it’s covered.
If not, fix up an appointment with a Pediatrician and get it done. It is not an emergency but definitely is better to be given.
