Mostly during sunlight should not be exposed directly to the eyes
You can use eye patches while sun exposure
Wait for the age of 3 months
If baby is not giving social smile, you can consult to the pediatrics ophthalmologist

Every eye, has inbuilt mechanisms to protect them from uv light and sunlight.
Nothing to worry, but it's better to cover the babies eyes and genitals, when exposing them to direct mid day sunlight.
