Yes. Continue iv antibiotics till urine c/s reports come. Do usg. If ureteric dilatation is present in usg then mcu should be done to rule out vesico ureteric reflux. Reflux is coomon cause of uti in children.

UTI should not be taken lightly in young kids.. it can have bad long term effects on Kidney too.
It should be properly investigated and treated.. IF oral medications are not working , in some cases we might need to admit the child and give intravenous antibiotics.
Even after your child becomes normal, do not stop the course of medication midway; give complete course that may last 10-14 days, if urine culture is positive.
After that also, your doctor might ask to get, USG abdomen and MCU or DMSA scan to be done (if need arise)..

What to say about hospitalisation ,you should have given injectable antibiotic rather than oral as it's UTI urinary tract infection with high fever, hope urine culture has been sent. Oral antibiotics can be given at home, usually golden opportunity for IV injection missed. For the movement please focus on your child's illness treat it properly with antibiotic,do urine culture if not done. On oral antibiotics child should respond otherwise may need IV antibiotics
