I had UTI last year, I consulted doctor and got treated within 2 weeks.
Again, I have UTI. I followed the same medications as last time, & got relief. But after 4-5 days again I started feeling burning sensation while urinating.
What is the main reason causing UTI? Are there somethings that I should do to avoid this in future? Because I am frustrated due to this. Please help.

In case of repeated infections, it is advisable to do urine culture sensitivity report. On the basis of this report dose of appropriate antibiotics should be given.
Also there are other lifestyle changes you need to do
Wear loose bottom clothing, drink more water, do not hold urine for long hours, cut down on sugar intake.
Everytime you use the washroom, prefer Indian style. If there is only western style commode, wash it with water jet first then use it. Always empty your bladder before leaving the house ( it lessens your chances of using public washroom), change of undergarments 2-3 times a day.
Repeated Infections is also seen in people with borderline diabetes or frank diabetes, peri menopausal and menopausal women, people with stone problem, severe cystitis ( bladder wall infection - need sonography to look for this). You need to get tested for these conditions.
