For the past two day i have notice an occurring pain in my upper abdomen, it increases on hiccups, deep breath and cough at times

Your symptoms are very vague at this moment to suggest any particular diagnosis. Upper abdominal pain is usually caused by simple gastritis which can be brought up by acidic food or infection in the stomach.
In case the pain is in your rib cage its more likely due to recurrent cough, abnormal posture or prolonged hiccups which will go with simple painkillers unless there is an infection.

you should take a over the counter painkiller like aceclopara one tablet SOS with milk to relieve the pain. you should get your cough checked up as it might require antibiotics.
if you feel symptoms of gastritis like acidic taste, burning sensation then you can take syp digene and consult with a doctor for further management.
