Hello doctor Im taking i-pill for the first time and i took it within 24hrs of unprotected sex.I have read some after affects of the pill but i have no signs of any of those affects on me even till evening.Does this mean the pill is not working or im preganant? Please help

Thank you for your question No you cannot determine a pregnancy just by whether you have some symptoms. You need to wait and see if you miss your period by over 7 days and do a urine pregnancy test. The ipill is over 95% effective at preventing an unwanted pregnancy if taken within 24 hours and can be repeated for a subsequent episode too.
