Unusual behaviour in the recent past

My nephew is a day scholar in 5th standard. For that last two months, we observed that, he is very frequently washing his hands. Found to be too conscious about cleanliness. Also, he is frequently spitting also. Do we have to worry about this. Kindly advise.
