Unprotected Sex
Hello Doctor I have had unprotected sex around 17 hours ago. Although no ejaculation happened but I am still at risk of getting pregnant. Since I have inactive PCOS as well and have skipped my period for month as well, I am doubtful as to how to deal with such situation. I am thinking of using the Yasmin pills as a form of emergency contraception. Note that I have never taken the pill before and this would be the first time. I have read that I should take four tablets of Yasmin at a time and another four tablets after 12 hours. Would this still be the same if I had never taken the pill before? Also considering I am prone to skin allergies, should I go ahead with the contraceptives?

You can go for a simpler and time tested solution. It is only  17 hours.  You should have  pill  72 or i pill.  You should also do a urine pregnancy test  about 3 weeks after the intercourse.  The results will not be affected by the length of the cycle.

You can take emergency contraceptive pill for now . Pill has high failure rate and many side effects. You can be pregnant despite taking the pill. Start  yasmin  when you get your period as a daily contraceptive pill.
