Unexpected bleeding pregnancy treatment

Hi m 28yr old and trying to concive from last 2yr recently I have consulted an gynecologist and started treatment I have irregular period problem from beginning of my menstruation after the first contuslt the Dr prescrib me duoluton l, notice and medical to take @9pm daily, but I missed it for once or twice and suddenly from 12th day of my cycle I started spoting and day after heavy bleeding, I again consulted the Dr she said due to this miss in the dosage I got this bledng. Z it rit?
