Unexpected bleeding after taking I pill.

Asked for Female, 29 Years

I had my normal period on 19july which lasted for 6 days. While having sex on 8th day of period(26july) during while there was an accidental condom tearing. Hence I took an I pill 24hr later(27july).Exactly after 4 days(1st Aug), I am bleeding with light cramps.It was like spotting in the noon but it has become heavier at night. It is just 12days past my period. Is it a side effect of I pill or something serious? We can't consider it as spotting because it's much heavier than spotting. I have a 28day cycle and I have also heard that I pill makes period early or late by max a week. But why am I bleeding if it is not even mid of my Cycle?please help. I am very concerned.

This is withdrawal bleeding after taking the emergency contraceptive pill.It will stop spontaneously after 2- 3 days.But next period you will get or not on time I can't predict because EC always causes hormones imbalance.
