Umbilical hernia -not coming for checkup
How do I take my father to doctor for hernia checkup? My father, retired surgeon (in hernia) field is suffering from Umbilical Hernia from past 10 years. He is not ready to come for checkup to doctor. Atleast he should come to doctor for checkup. Myself and relatives tried a lot, but still he is not ready for checkup. He is 60 years and never told this. We came to know from past 4 years. He suffers from hypertension and diabetes. He might be experiencing uneasiness but never tells us.

If your father himself is a surgeon he should understand the problem himself and the complications associated with it. Probably he might have some anxiety related to the surgery or the anesthesia. Believe me doctors are the worst patients. Talk to him and may be get him to the hospital with yourself saying its your health issue and then try to get his consultation.
Next Steps
if possible please come down to Columbia Asia hospital at Kharadi for consultation with me.
