Typhoid frver
My daughter is 23 months old now.recently she was suffering from fever. My doctor asked me to do blood test. The test shown that Salmonell typhu O titer 1:40dilu Salmonella typhi H titer. 1:80 dilu Is it considered typhoid fever please suggest

If in widal test antibody titres are  above 1:160 either for Salmonella O or H antigen then we call it as a positive test for typhoid fever. And if clinically fever is persistent  then we see for serial rise in titres .
Next Steps
If clinically patient is stable and improvement in fever then no need to repeat the test but if fever is persistent and other symptoms also appear then consult with the doctor physically.
