Typhoid fever
My Girl Friend is affected with typhoid before an year and later there is no symptom of it but the rating of the test still shows 1/320 !! How is it going to effect and what care should i take !!

Typhoid Fever Typhoid fever is a systemic disease caused by Salmonella serotype Typhi. SX – Fever, HA, arthralgia, pharyngitis, constipation, anorexia, abd pain. PE – Skin: pink, blanching lesions (rose spots) appear in crops on the chest and abdomen. Abd: splenomegaly.
Next Steps
DX – Week 1: Blood Culture (positive for salmonella typhi). Week 2: Agglutination (Widal Test). Week 3: Stool Culture (positive for salmonella typhi). Week 4: Urine Culture.
Health Tips
TX – Abx: Ceftriaxone 1gm IM and Ciprofloxacin 500mg PO BID x 10-14 days. Severe: add prednisone 20-40 mg PO BID x 3 weeks. Nutrition Prevention - • Hygiene and sanitation. Live Vaccine. Typhoid Polysaccharide Vaccine.
