Hello Most of the dentists follow sterilization methods for sure before inserting any instruments into the mouth The cut might be due to retractors and do not worry it will heal by itself in less than a week

Usually any dentist whos super specialist in his / her field like pedodontist ,periodontist, prosthodontist, oral surgery maintain their clinic at high standards and there are least chances that their instruments are not autoclaved .So better you should wash the wound immediately .

Hi! Specialist dentists usually use only autoclaved instruments, so risk is minimal. If you got a cut, just get the wound washed and it should be fine.
