TSH increase
Hi . we are planning to try by August. I recently had chickenpox around May, and wanted to wait for 3 months to recover completely and start trying. I had my blood work done, my T3 and T4 are normal, but TSH is 9.5. I previously suffered a MC (miscarriage) last august, my TSH was around 4.5 during pregnancy and I was taking thyronorm. After MC,in blood work TSH was 4.2, since it was normal I was asked to stop my medication. I had increased hunger last month, after my pox, and couldn't really control my intake, moreover I cudnt exercise much as I felt tireing and had no access to go on for a walk due to severe lockdown measures in my area, I put around 5 kgs in a single month. Is the TSh high because of the sudden weight gain? Should I wait till levels are normal and start trying? Or can medicines help if I fall pregnant. I am making sure now to exercise everyday and eat accordingly. Any specific food to be avoided? Really confused, please help.

you should get your TSH level under control before planning for pregnancy. start tab thyronorm after consulting with a doctor, recheck the reports again after 6 weeks.

You have to restart the thyroid tablet before trying to normalise the thyroid.
