Tsh 6.047 in 11th week of pregnancy
This is my first pregnancy and my tsh is 6.047.I tested it at 11th week of pregnancy. Is it too late to test tsh at 11th week.I have started with thyroxin 0.75mcg I'm concerned about baby's brain and neurological development.I have read that thyroid medication should be started at initial stage of first trimester but in my case doctor tested at 11th week and started medication at 11th week. Will it affect my baby's brain and neurological development as till 11th week there were no medication taken for thyroid Could someone please answer.

It is too late to get worried. There is no way we can test the development of the brain of the unborn child.

What's done cannot be undone Ideally tsh should be checked preconceptionally N maintained less than 2 .5 in the first trimester
