Trying to conceive
This is my First Ovulation induction cycle. My last cycle was on 18th Jan. As per follicular monitoring I ovulated on day 12 i.e on 29th Jan. Then doctor put me in duphaston for 15 days. She said to continue duphaston till 12th Feb. After stopping duphaston around day 4 if period does not come, I can go for pregnancy test. So, it is 16th Feb which is day 18 post ovulation which doctor asked to check home pregnancy test. I am getting very anxious and test early and at the same time I have fear of failure. Please suggest if my doctor suggestion is correct to check on Feb 16 for pregnancy? Kindly suggest.

Pregnancy test can be done only 24 hours after a skipped period Any test done before that would be wrongly timed and negative Since 18th of January was day  1 you should check it on the 19th of February
