Hello doctor Can prolonged sitting (chair) cause muscle tightness on one side of body? Other side of body no pain while movements Only one side its like tight and pain.. Hand, chest, back, stomach, pelvic region, thigh, leg all one side tight.. Or some other cause? How to treat this?

It can be due to improper posture. Right left alignment is changed while sitting. So 1 side of muscle can be tight.

Yes, due to improper posture while sitting and for prolonged time will cause pain in one side of thr body. Need to take breaks every 30-40mins if work is to be done for a long time. Do regular early morning exercises to avoid pains and muscle tension while sitting or standing for long time.

There are possibilities due to lack of physical activity and which triggers pathological changes like spondylosis which lead on to pain and stiffness and lead on to muscle weakness .Basically u need physical examination to identify the causative factors and associated complications .

As ur not maintaining posture through out the day,and lack of physical activity which leads to spasm and muscle weakness. Position of sitting,have to change.pls maintain ergonomics to avoid this kind of spasm
