it depend on how much cavity or decayed part is there if it's not up to the pulp in your tooth then we can do it by simple filling only
if it's up to pulp then we have to do root canal and capping .plz take any normal painkiller and visit dentist for further treatment .

First let a X-ray done of the infected tooth to know about the extent of the cavity, if the cavity is away from pulp then filling and then capping can be done but if the pulp is exposed then root canal treatment will be needed or either go from extraction and then fixed tooth can be fitted.
