Hi mam/ sir,
as a mother of 2 kids I understand the apprehension for root canal for your 4 year old child. but plz do understand the long term consequenses with not getting treatment.
1) The infection, if present, can worsen, creating swelling and pain in the kid
2) There can be some symptomatic relief with medicines, but the recurrence can be more painful for the kid.
3) There is a chance of the permanent teeth being affected.
Next Steps
kindly check with a pediatric dentist and check when the permannent teeth with be erupting and then take a call accordingly.
Health Tips
kindly do improve the brushing habit for the kid and for future get the kid checked every 6 months. Hope this was useful for you.
Hello
Root canal/ pulpectomy is a better option for milk teeth . We usually don't advise extraction of milk tooth as it is a direction/ guidance for new tooth. Better to opt for root canal treatment and save the tooth if possible.
