This needs an orthodontist opinion.
However, general advise from me would be to avoid any surgery that is not essential , so if the correction is possible by tooth movement a surgery is ill advised.
An orthodontist will assess and tell you whether the correction of your problem needs orthodontic tooth movement, orthodontic surgery or most likely both.
Today there are braces which are not visible , ask the orthodontist.
