If the wisdom tooth is causing decay to the 7th molar it will keep on destroying that tooth even after the RCT is complete. It is better to get the wisdom tooth extracted and go for RCT of the 7.

The reason for your 7th molar to get decayed is your wisdom tooth. Imagine you have a car , there is no air in tyres and no petrol in tank. And you put air into the tyres. Will you be able to drive it ? The answer is NO .
Although you did right by putting air in the tyres but you also forgot to fill the tank with petrol . To make car run you have to add both the things.
Same as the car , your 7th molar tooth only can be functional if you remove your wisdom tooth as it didn’t erupt properly and results in impaction and cause decay in your 7th tooth.
Better go with the procedures advised by your dentist that is wisdom tooth removal followed by RCT of 7th molar tooth.
Depending on the position of the wisdom tooth, a call can be taken weather to remove it or save it. If it is not coming straight it, should be removed. You need to get a full mouth xray i.e. OPG done and kindly share the images of it.
