Took Ovral L tablet but vomiting
My doc gave me ovral L tablet as an emergency contraceptive pill to be taken 2 tables in morning n 2 after 12 hrs.The 1st dose I tolerate well but in 2nd does I vomited after 6hrs.Like I took it at 8.30 pm and vomited at 2.30 am.I want to know would the medicine be absorbed by then and will vomiting reduce it's effects as it was after 6hrs of taking the medicine?

Medicine should still work as vomiting  happened after 6 hours. Best option for Emergency contraception is I pill single tablet, within 72 hours of intercouurse

Vomiting 6 hours after taking Oral-L will not reduce its effectiveness. Levonorgestrel is usually absorbed within 2–3 hours of intake. Concern is only if vomiting occurs within 2 hours, in which case a repeat dose may be needed. Next steps: No repeat dose is required in your case. Expect possible nausea/irregular bleeding. If your next period is delayed by >7 days, do a pregnancy test. Consult your doctor if vomiting persists or you have severe pain/bleeding

With this heavy dose of hormones the doctor should have prescribed an antiemetic prior Yes the medicine would have been absorbed
