TOGA AND VDRL POSITIVE

Asked for Male, 22 Years

I've been suffering from VDRL & TPHA POSITIVE from the year of 2013 but one doctor advice me to take penecilin of 12 lakh power. I had taken and got instant relief from it and I had done my college and one year training after that again I want to go to complete my training than again my VDRL & TPHA is being POSITIVE from the last year of September and I had taken 15 penecilin of 12 lakh power and gone through many of the Ayurved and homeopathic medicine but no relief so plz help me out.

VDRL and TPHA test are known to be positive in cases of syphilis, which is an STD. But rather than going for just positivity or negativity, a titre is used to denote its significance. After treatment, as you have undergone, in some individuals the test may remain positive, due to "serofast" reaction, or re-exposure to the organism

The best would be to visit a dermatologist and get evaluated. His certificate will also help you in case the test need to be done again and to allay anxiety of the test interpreting medical team
