Tobacco in all forms are cancer producing. First you must ask him to quit and take him to an expert in Oral Medicine for counseling and diagnosis of his mouth condition.

Hi sir , firstly you need to ask him to take tobacco substitutes available in the form of chewing gums then slowly to stop it. In the meanwhile do you see any ulcers/ sores/ white patches in his mouth ?
Can he open his mouth completely around 35-40mm ?
Does he have burning sensation/ pain while eating ?
These are alarming symptoms .
