Squeaking sound in ear could be an indication of early onset of the jaw joint dysfunction but could be well due to ear pressure changes or other ear issues.
If it’s only the sound and not associated with pain ,swelling or restriction of movement as you mentioned, would advise to see ENT consultant as well to rule out ear issues .
Also get a clinical evaluation by a dentist to ascertain any premarkers of TMJ disease.
A squeaking or clicking sound from the jaw joint (TMJ) without pain, swelling, or limited movement is usually not serious.
It commonly happens due to minor disc movement or joint friction. If there is:
• No pain
• No locking
• No difficulty opening mouth
— then it usually does not require treatment.
For now:
• Avoid wide mouth opening
• Avoid hard/chewy foods
• Do not chew gum
• Reduce stress and clenching
If pain, locking, or restricted movement develops, then consult a dentist.
At present, it sounds mild and self-limiting
Hello clicking sound leads to tmj early stage no any pain but in later will be get hard to tolarate the pain so better get treatment this early stage of sign.
