Mothers intake of thyroid medication does not affect the baby..but you need to get a TSH n ft4 test done for your baby as a routine to rule out any congenital hypothyroidism ( this is done for all newborns) .
Mother’s routine testing to adjust her thyroid medication dose after delivery is also recommended.
